Irv Elias
1945 -2006
Irv Elias was my best friend for over a decade. We lost touch in the 1980's when my life was undergoing many changes. Roger Frackman, one of Irv's army buddies informed me that Irv passed away on July 14, 2006 from prostate cancer. Irv worked with me at CBS radio and moved to the TV division in the 80's. There he went on to work on the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, CBS Sports, and other special events. More is written about him on the CBS Retirees web site.
